United is a futuristic dystopian roleplay set in 2190 after a sizable chunk of the population is wiped out by a virus. Fueled by greed and power, Samuel Pierce and his political connections turned the nation upside down, saying goodbye to democracy and hello to totalitarianism, all in the name of making the United States a better place. But everything comes at a price.
The freedom to choose has been dead for more than 100 years. You live, you die, you reproduce when they say you can, and who you can do it with. You work in the field they tell you to. You only have the rights they give you. Your life, your privacy, your home, your family... it all belongs to them. What kind of life will you lead in an environment like that?
United is a play-by-post, account-per-character, no-word/paragraph-count game that takes place in the fictional west coast town of Bayview, located in what was previously southwestern Oregon. Surrounded by a bay, a lake, and a vineyard, it's got all the charm of a typical Calorington small town. In a time when the government controls everything from the school you attend to the car you drive, would you go with the flow or fight to regain something you've only read about in history books: freedom of choice?
