Katherine Peirce told the Salvatore brothers when her return to Mystic Falls. At the time, her words meant nothing in comparison to the shock of seeing their maker after a one hundred and fifty year absence. Once the dust had settled however, Damon and Stefan began to think on her words, and try to work out the threat buried within them. They had both broken the rules that they had not even known existed. Both Damon and Stefan were in love with a human, and they had made it more than obvious to select humans that they were vampires. Damon, arrogant as ever, has paid no heed to Katherine’s warning, and is still concentrating on getting her back. Stefan has been more cautious, but cannot bear to keep anything from Elena. They had thought their problems were over when the tomb vampires had been killed and John Gilbert silenced. Things are only just about to get complicated.
--What would happen if everything that happened in the Vampire Diaries was indirectly affected by the Night World? What if the Salvatore’s are now playing dangerous games in a world unknown to them, and Katherine Peirce is vampire royalty in her own right? Everything that had happened in the first season of the Vampire Diaries has happened here, so Damon and Stefan are both warring over Elena, and Katherine has made her return.
