It seemed like if she wasn't fleeing another town, she was being chased out of another. And such was the life of a war dog. But Yuna loved it. She loved the thrill of stealing and being on the run. She didn't make a lot of friends that way, but she made a living. That was all she needed. And if she wasn't stealing, she was usually helping baby animals or little kids. So she wasn't a bad person. She was just bad to the people who had money.
Yuna had entered Kaleva hoping to strike it rich somewhere, but she was only seeing poverty. She hated towns like this, but there was bound to be some rich snob who wanted to just flaunt his money in such a poor town. And Yuna was going to sniff him out.
Her sensitive hearing was about to drive her insane, however. There was so much conversation and the voices of children pounded against her eardrums. It sounded like someone was screaming right into her ear, and it was ripping her sanity from her. She kept moving through the streets, though, because there was always someone to pickpocket. Always someone to spy on.
Yuna searched the dirty faces, the young faces, and even the pretty faces, but none of them dressed like they had money. She continued to creep silently through the crowd until she found a man. A man dressed so eloquently that Yuna's fingers twitched in anticipation. She stayed pressed against the shadows, like everyone else. He paraded through the street, pushing the poor out of the way and laughing as they fell to the ground. Yuna let him walk past her, let him laugh and be pompous, but he'd soon find his wallet missing.
With perfect stealth, she followed behind him, careful not to step on his heels or breathe in his direction. Yuna reached around to his pockets, where she tenderly inserted her hand. With a quick movement, she grasped his wallet and removed it with ease. It was so easy to steal from the rich types. They were never very aware, because they were too busy gloating about their money.
Yuna opened the wallet. A gleam came to her eyes as she saw how much money that greedy man had. She carefully solicited it into her own pocket and fled the scene. Her eyes flitted to the left and right of her as she darted through the streets. That man would surely miss his money soon and Yuna wasn't going to be there when he did.
As she was running, she looked behind her, making sure no one was following her. As she was looking back, Yuna clumsily ran straight into a woman. Yuna hit her with such force that even Yuna almost fell over. She clutched the pocket that contained the money and another hand fell over the concealed knife on her hip. "Watch where you're going!" Yuna barked, taking a defensive stance. "You got in my way."
Her head turned as she heard the man she had stolen from cry out. His words were all too clear to Yuna. "Thief!" Yuna narrowed her eyes at the woman in front of her, but darted to the side to take some shelter in the alley between two buildings. "Do not tell anyone I'm here, or I'll slit your throat," she mumbled angrily to the girl. Then Yuna thought to herself, was the woman even able to hear that man? Yuna's hearing was far greater than a human's, so maybe that man was too far off to hear. If that was the case, Yuna had sold herself out. If this woman wasn't dumb, she'd know that Yuna was a criminal. However, Yuna wasn't one to let her reputation go without consequence.

If you can't deal with the hurriane Don't take me on.
Alileah didn't have a reputation. Okay, so that wasn't entirely true. She had a reputation, but no one knew who held that reputation. So walking through the streets was no problem for the black-haired girl, and, despite herself, even managed to strike up a conversation with a young girl who the leader of the Resistance had began keeping an eye on, ever since an incident that had happened had almost tipped off the War Dogs to where the Resistance's main quarters were. Of course, this rundown town certainly wasn't in possession of such a place, and although being so far from any real protection made her uneasy, Ali knew without a doubt she could take on at least three people with ease...If they didn't know her or her tricks. Not many people knew who the leader of The Resistance was. Take a trip into history, and think of all the presidents who were shot down because someone knew who to shoot. It was stupid. If you were an important person, you don't go parading your title around to everyone you meet. But Ali still wasn't the best at staying out of trouble, as if the adventure of a fight and the adrenaline of running was all that fueled her brain and her heart. It sought her out, taunted her with devilish thoughts, until she had no other choice but to smile and...most of the time? Attack. This, however, wasn't the case. If someone weren't looking directly at the black-haired girl, they wouldn't know what the 'this' seemed to apply to. But many people were looking at her, since Alileah seemed to have a way of drawing attention, so when a small girl ran full force into her, many of those people realized that, while the girl who had ran into her staggered slightly, Ali hadn't even flinched. She heard nothing of the threat and instead tossed a glare to all those people, a look that made them turn their gazes away. When she was sure she wasn't being watched, Ali whirled on the girl who had darted into the alley. Slipping easily in after her, she grabbed the girl by the shirt and slammed her against the wall, narrowing her gaze slightly. She shifted to place one foot in front of any exit, so if the girl thought of escaping, she'd only find herself deeper in trouble. Her movements caused a soft prick on her thigh, a gentle reminder of the knives on each side of her leg. Ali never went out without being armed to the teeth, and this was certainly no exception. But for no, she acted as if her only weapon was her own hands, just in case the girl tried to attack. "Don't threaten me." She snapped, one hand still holding the fabric of the girls shirt. The girl was slightly shorter then she, but Ali didn't dare underestimate her, leaving one arm stretched across the girls neck and pinning her against the wall. When the rich guy, who this girl had apparently stolen money from, ran by and glanced in the alley, Alileah moved with the speed of a cobra and pulled the girl down into the shadows. Once the man seemed sure his thief hadn't darted into this particular alley, he continued on. "You should really be more careful...And not only about who you threaten." Without waiting for a reply, she yanked the girl up, still keeping a distance since the girl could strike any second. She was getting tired of her charade, pulled out two daggers that glinted like jewels. The girl looked slightly worse for wear, and Ali, moving sideways slowly, turned quickly and threw with the accuracy she had gained over years of practice. There wasn't any time to even move, if Ali had given any hint of her impending attack, and the dagger embedded itself directly across from her neck in the stone of the wall. Holding up the second dagger, she glanced at the girl with a predatory glint in her eye. "Ever threaten to slit my throat again, little girl, and you'll find yourself drowning in your own blood."[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Something she wasn't expecting, however, was for the woman she ran into to suddenly grab her shirt. Yuna gave a startled gasp and her face twisted into surprise. Once she realized the situation, her expression became angry and menacing as this girl thought she could scare her.
"I'll threaten who I want. I don't take orders from anyone," Yuna growled at the woman, clutching the hand that was holding her with both of her own hands. She was tempted to forcefully press her thumbs into the pressure point in the girl's wrist, but before she could do anything, she was being thrown to the ground. Immediately, upon being cornered and on the ground, Yuna unsheathed the knife from around her ankle and also the one hidden on her waist. Yuna held the knives slightly at an angle in front of her, challenging the woman to come after her.
The woman instead yanked her back onto her feet, and before Yuna could react, she had a knife whizzing past her head. However, Yuna didn't flinch. She also had the skill to throw knives with deadly accuracy. "You think you're big and bad? I'm not scared of you. Do your worst, but you're not going to get anything out of it, because this money is mine," Yuna snapped, groping the wallet in her pocket.
She clutched the hilt of her knife especially tight with this girl around. She didn't seem like one to fool with, and Yuna wasn't either. Really, Yuna didn't want to fight. She wanted to leave with her money and go eat. If this woman wanted trouble, she could find it elsewhere. If she wanted Yuna's money, however, then she would fight for it, tooth and nail. Everyone here was after something, and usually it was money. Yuna was extremely stingy when it came to her money, though, and she wasn't going to hand it over just because this person could throw a knife.
Yuna crouched low to the ground, knives still blazing, and she moved around the building. Her ears continued to pick up on the man screaming 'thief!' He was coming back, and it sounded like he had some authorities. Someone had ratted about who stole the man's money to the authorities, and Yuna was going to be found. Luckily, Yuna had sensitive hearing so these people were probably a good few meters away and she could possibly get away.
"I need to hide. They're going to find me," Yuna voiced in a low tone, mostly to herself. She sheathed her knives, but kept a close eye on this woman as she walked past her. Yuna could hear the man approaching and Yuna had no clue where to go. She was used to lurking in the shadows, but Yuna did not know this place and didn't know any nooks or crannies to hide in. "Take me somewhere to hide," Yuna demanded harshly. "Or I'll make sure that you were part of the robbery."

If you can't deal with the hurriane Don't take me on.
This girl was damn young. At this realization, Ali laughed. There was no mistaking the lethal grace in Ali, however, and so the Resistance Leader found a growing respect for this young girl. It wasn't strong, and Ali doubted it ever would be, but it made her smile to think there was someone who'd be stupid, or brave, whatever it was, enough to try and challenge her. When the man ran by a second time, Alileah caught his shirt. He glanced at her in surprise, and slowly his lip curled, but he drew back when he saw the glint of dagger in her hand. "I saw her go the other way. You best search over there." She snapped and released him. Startled that he had been threatened and helped in the same sentence, he turned and followed her direction. He would be back soon, however, and Ali began moving quickly. The first thing she did was grab her knife and the girl. "You want help, you got it. But I can't promise you you'll like my help, little girl. I could get out of this mess easily, sweet. I've got connections you don't, so you better be glad I decided to help you." She snapped, dragging the girl through the crowded streets with an iron grip. Sending a glance around, she ducked into a broken down sewer, one that was no longer in use. Still pulling the girl behind her, she shoved Yuna in front and pressed the sharp of the blade to the back of her neck, slicing the delicate flesh before placing the knife easily back in her belt. A small warning not to do anything stupid in the dark. "Follow me." She called, shoving the girl sideways so she could push through. She had committed the underground system to memory a long ways ago, and had no trouble navigating it now. Her fingertips brushed the side of the tunnel to guide her, and soon the stepped into one of the small hideouts of the Resistance. There were about three people lounging about, some of them looking more nervous then others. At the sight of her, one of them tripped and fell, the other two silently went into shock. "Oh please, you aren't witnessing a God come into your life. Calm down. I've got a hunter here, thinks we're trying to take her money but wants a hideout. Thinks to threaten me." Her laughter sounded again, bouncing off the walls. "People these days." She finished, and shoved the girl roughly ahead of her. "There. I got you a hiding place, little girl. I suggest you stop threatening those with more power in their pinky then you do in all of you. I don't want your money, if you haven't noticed by now. I just don't take kindly to being pushed around and threatened." Her eyes blazed, then rapidly cleared until all the anger in her demeanor had drained. "Food's in the back. Don't think about leaving because that guy has gotten at least five security men with him now, twenty probably patrolling the streets." Her voice came out with slight humor drifting lazily between the words. ` [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

If worse came to worse, she'd probably start trying to climb up the walls. She didn't like being trapped, especially by the authorities. She had too much background to be taken in.
Her fear leaked through her expression. She was breathing heavily and she almost leapt at the wall until the girl before her grabbed the man and told him to look elsewhere. Her breathing continued to escalate as she looked on with surprise. The man was leaving, but Yuna didn't have long to cherish in her victory. The woman was dragging her along and Yuna was blindly letting her do so. Yuna owed her her life or her freedom, or both.
Yuna, however, was awoken from the knick on the back of her neck, her hand shot up to the cut. She rubbed it angrily, and was about to snap at the girl, but was being shoved through some kind of tunnel. Now this person was only making her furious by jostling and cutting her. There was no need for that, and if she wasn't going to touch her with a knife one more time, Yuna was going to slap her in the face with one.
Her eyes wandered lazily to the people who were staring on at her as she walked into the hideout. She grinned sweetly, but the smile quickly faded as this woman called her a hunter. Yuna was no hunter. She did not kill people for a living.
Yuna, however, listened to what she had to say before saying anything back. "I am no hunter. I'm a war dog. I choose not to kill people unless I have to," she explained with a sharp tone. "And I'm not going to take your food. I live by the code that I eat what I earn."
She crossed her arms over her chest, letting her eyes flicker across the room. Then a thought hit her. Where was she? Who were these people? And why was that woman helping her?
"What is this place?" Yuna asked, stumbling around a bit. She gave dangerous looks to the people who were staring at her. Yuna turned, checking out every detail of the domain. Then her attention returned to the woman who had brought her here. "I'm Yuna, by the way. And... I suppose I should thank you for the kindness you showed me, even though I was quite rude. I'm sure you can understand my disliking of strangers." Yuna looked her straight in the eye for a few moments, but then quickly turned away. She couldn't believe she was thanking someone, but it was probably worthwhile to make peace with someone like her. It seemed she could prove to be a good friend to have around. And not only that, but if Yuna needed somewhere to stay, perhaps she would provide her this place. Yes, she liked the sound of that.
It was only fortunate that she met this girl when she did. Had she not, she probably would have run straight in the authorities and been arrested or killed on the spot, as Yuna wasn't going to go without a fight. Yuna wasn't going to admit it, but she had gained a lot of respect for her. It wasn't every day you met someone as dangerous and generous as this person.
