WELCOME TO THE NEW DEJA VU i can almost see the wizard through the curtains How she hated the Perfect Nation. Earlier that day she had been within the walls of the Peony City. Although she was part of the resistance, Andreya was a born Peony citizen. So technically, she was still able to enter the city. For most of the morning she had been taking time to watch the people within the city. They scurried around the like ants, living in fear of what lingered on the outside walls of city. If only they knew how much easier life was outside the city. Behind the dark sunglasses her brown eyes watched them scurry through the streets and sidewalks going about their business. In their world, ignorance was bliss. There was no such thing as bliss in this world, she had known.
Every day the memory of losing both her parents was fresh in her mind. Although the events were separate occasions, they both had rocked her world and crushed everything she ever knew, and leaving the city was the best choice she had ever made. She remembered when she met Alileah. God, it was like she was looking into a mirror. They two of them could have been sisters, and that’s when the idea of the resistance started. The idea of exposing the Perfect Nation was a dream for both girls, and Dreya wanted nothing more than to get proper justice for her parents.
The morning dragged on and Andreya soon was growing bored of the insects within the farm. Sighing, the girl slipped out of the city and made her way to the ruined cities. These cities used to be popular and had the similar image of the Peony City, but when the Perfect Nation and disease kicked in everything changed. Now, they were perfect meeting grounds for Andreya and Alileah to plot against the Perfect Nation. Oh they were quite the pair together. And what one lacked in, the other made up for. Like Dreya knew that Alileah wasn’t that strong, whereas Andreya loved a good fight and close combat. She lived for it and did everything she could to make sure that her body was always in top form.
The city was deserted, and she made sure to keep her eyes open underneath the dark sunglasses. A local school came into view, and Andreya recognized it as she thought back to the description mentioned by Alileah. Rather than head back into the underground building that was their headquarters, they had to pick different locations in the ruined city to throw off anyone in the Perfect Nation that might be watching. They couldn’t risk exposing their real hideout and having casualties. Heading inside the deserted building, she looked around. It looked like a high school, the mental lockers were rusting and everything was covered in a thick layer of dust. The only light in the buildings were coming from the windows. It looked like a biological disaster, like Chernobyl. Everything in all the rooms looked frozen in time, like everyone just suddenly got up and left without a single word.
Eventually, Dreya came across what looked like a science class room. The blinds were drawn, making the room a little dark. Walking over, she just barely opened the blinds to let in small rays of light. Now, white strips of light filtered across the room and across Andreya’s frame. Checking her watch, she knew that Alileah would be here soon and they would be able to discuss possible plans or anything else that was going on with the Perfect Nation. Oh she couldn’t wait to get back to headquarters for a little combat practice. It was fun shooting off weapons and practicing hand to hand combat. Yes, Dreya was a dangerous member of the resistance and with Alileah, they were a lethal pack.
Taking a seat at the teachers desk, she leaned back in the chair and propped her feet up on the desk, patiently waiting for Alileah.

The morning had gone essentially well.
Skipping breakfast was a habit, and this day was no exception to that. Ali had gone right to training, already wearing the full black battle suit that consisted of boots, and two pieces of leather firmly attached to her body that, irritatingly enough, showed off every feminine curve that existed on her. She hadn't bothered with hand guards, immediately launching herself into a full-out attack against her opponent, who was an unlucky dummy. By time she had finished with him, he was swaying as if he were drunk. She had received the note, then, from someone who had been unfortunate enough to pick the short end of the straw. Sparing him so much as a glance, even as he heaved a sigh of relief, she smile at the note addressed to her from her right hand woman, and her best friend.
They were like sisters, the two. And Dreya had a plan brewing in her mind. It was clear by the hastily scribbled note, and the amount of exclamation marks used on the small, crisp piece of white paper. After a cold, numbing shower that released the tension in her shoulders and cleared her sleep-deprived mind, Alileah reluctantly traded out the black suit for a more casual pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. She almost immediately started out towards the school she had been called to, stopping only to brush her hair and throw it up before leaving out the back entrance. People from the Perfect Nation were determined to find The Resistance, and its steadily growing number.
The walk there was rather long, and Ali felt her mind drifting to the words that had shared between them when they had last met together like this. It had been something along the lines of a Perfect Nation military man who had targeted Ali. Unsure whether she should attack or not, Alileah had gone to her "sister", who certainly was one in all but blood, and asked for advice. She'd given her the perfect words. Kick his ass, Ali. He won't know what's coming. It had managed to bring a smile to her lips, and they had parted on good terms. Now, Ali was wondering what news was to be shared today.
She pushed open the door and slid in, her footsteps quiet even in the hollow, abandoned school hall. She quickly found the science room and slipped in. She easily spotted the dark figure of her right-hand woman, and hid easily in the shadows until she had made it to the opposite side of the room. "Hello, sister. What brings us together today?" Her voice came soft, filled with slight humor, and yet appeared ghostly at the same time. To anyone watching the scene, it would've seemed as if the beautiful leader of The Resistance had simple molded from the shadows and stepped out. Dreya would know better.
The two were too much alike for her not to know the trick. It was what made them synchronize so perfectly. Where one lacked, that was the other's strength. It had been so for many years, and Ali intended it to be so for many more. Her gaze wandered from Dreya's face to the dark room, and a smile curved graciously over her lips. "Odd place to decide to meet me. I hope there's no ambush in waiting." Despite the casual, humorous words, Alileah glanced outside. It was The Resistance's members in-born trait to feel cautious even in the middle of safety. It was what kept them alive.

WELCOME TO THE NEW DEJA VU i can almost see the wizard through the curtains Dreya was starting to grow bored, so rather than leave the room she pulled out the switchblade knife tucked into her shoe. The silver blade gleamed into the small rays of light filtering through the blinds. The knife twirled in her hand as her eyes scanned around the room for someone or something that might be out of place. It was quite easy for her to multitask, scanning the room with a weapon at the ready. The only person that Andreya wouldn’t attack would be Alileah. Besides, her friend knew how to keep stealth in a foreign environment, besides she knew her friends signature entrance.
The voice carried across the room, a smile coming across the girl’s lips. The blade stayed in her fingers, but Andreya wasn’t going to throw it at Alileah. “Nice to see you too, sister.” Using their names out in the open was a dangerous tactic, so they simply called each other sister when out in the open. Anyone could be watching, and they couldn’t risk exposing their names and true identities to anyone that might be listening in on their conversation. Dreya’s brown eyes moved across the classroom, taking note of the dark shadows that were hiding part of the room. Alileah’s favorite spots seemed to be in the dark, but it wasn’t a bad thing. Dreya didn’t mind being a little more exposed in a few rays of sunlight coming into the room, since she could hold her own if a fight should come to her. She knew that Alileah couldn’t take that chance, but she was practicing her combat which would only help her improve later on.
“Well, as you can see we are here at the old high school.” Dreya waved her arms as to introduce the room, “And if there was an ambush, they’d be foolish to attach a science wing. Gas reserves for Bunsen burners, and dangerous chemicals.” Taking the knife she hurled it at the door to the right side of her seated position, motioning to the storage closet. The blade stuck in the wood, and Andreya stood to head over to the door. Pulling the blade out, she checked the handle to find that the door was locked. She began to jimmy the lock before the door opened. “I figured since this school is no longer in operation, a lot of their resources would be left behind.” She motioned for Alileah to follow her into the dark closet.
Pulling out a small flash light, Dreya illuminated the dark closet, finding numerous boxes left over. They were labeled with hazardous chemical labels in bright yellow ink. The smile grew larger on Dreya’s face. “I figured that maybe with the chemicals and resources this school once used, we could put it to our advantage, making who knows what will the chemicals they have here. Plus, I think checking out the metal shop wouldn’t hurt either. There might be some leftover sheet metal and supplies that we can use. I’m thinking bombs and setting up defenses around the building in case someone should get to close to headquarters.”
Picking up a box of chemicals, she blew off the dust. “Hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide. Lots of fun stuff here and when tampered with or mixed improperly, well… Dreya likes a big boom from time to time. I haven’t check out the metal shop yet, but I think that’s the next stop. Now, I know that there’s a college either on the outside of this city or close by. They have the really good stuff and much more fancy equipment. I’m thinking of doing a little investigation into the college soon. Wanna come along?”

There are certain things in the human nature that one would hesitate doing if asked to do it, even if they completely trust the person doing the asking. This was the situation with the dark closest, when Dreya had opened it and motioned her in. The human mind doesn't comprehend who is doing the asking, and that sliver of doubt of "should I follow or not?" is there. For Alileah, this was not different. While she felt completely comfort in the shadows, where no one could see her but she had years of experience fighting in the depth of darkness, following someone into a cramped, dark closest, and that person holding a glinting steel knife? Warning bells were going off in her head. Almost unconsciously touching her own knife in her pocket, Ali finally followed her right-hand passed the cheap, wooden door into the box-filled room. Everything from salt to some type of acid was lined in this room, every box marked with thick black sharpie.
The Resistance hadn't had this type of luck in quite some time. They'd been living off their brains, not literally of course, for the passed few weeks, and it seemed every trip and every miss brought the Perfect Nation one step closer until they were breathing down their necks. It made everyone jumpy and a bit unsure, and some people were even considering leaving their rank. Of course, those people wouldn't be missed much, but when they left in abundance? That was a huge blow to the resistance. Now, if they could mix and tamper a few of these chemicals and place it in, say, a car of The Perfect Nation? Big boom, and time to scatter and recolonize. This was luck when they needed it most.
Moving among the boxes gracefully, Ali came to a halt by her right-hand's side, listening and diguesting the info that was given to her. Like a well-oiled machine, she turned the words over in her head, analyzed them, and began to fit them into the overall puzzle and fill out the questions. What could they use this chemicals for? Mayhem, chaos, and lots of fun booms for the resistance who was in much need to show the perfect nation who the hell they were dealing with. Sweeping a hand through her black hair, she leaned casually against the wooden wall of the closest and finally began replying to everything that was spoken to her. "Booms? Yeah, those would be fun. I've got a bit of a plan hatching in my mind that involves quite a lot of chaos." A mischievous smile slid over her features. "And a car. A car in use by the Perfect Nation. You can still get in there, can't you? I've been blocked out." She stated, nudging one of the boxes casually with the toe of her boot.
"Have I ever told you what an awesome right hand you are? Because this is exactly what we need." She said, bending down to study one of the names on the boxes. "I'm not sure what we'll do with dead frogs they used for dissecting though, except maybe terrify the life out of someone." She stated, the laughter clear in her voice as she turned the box so her friend could see the black sharpie print on the front that clearly labeled the box "dead frogs". She tossed it casually to the side, wincing as it made a loud bang and split open. A murmured oops, but her friend had continued talking.
"The college?" She frowned for a moment before a slow, chaotic smile flickered on her lips, the kind she always got when an evil plan had formed in her head. "Oh yeah, I'm definitely in."

WELCOME TO THE NEW DEJA VU i can almost see the wizard through the curtains Andreya kept looking among the boxes, stacking the ones that she and Ali would take back to headquarters for use in the war. The next box she found contained alkaline metals and a large smile spread across her lips. “Ohh… These are very good things to have in our hands. Alkaline metals react with water for booms and sparks. The further down the periodic table you go the more reactive the elements become.” Dreya pointed to the periodic table of elements in the closet for reference to Ali. “It would be easy to send these inside a building and once they were exposed we’d just have to make the sprinklers in the fire alarm go off and boom!”
As she thought back about Peony City, Dreya nodded her head to Ali’s question. “Yeah I can still get in. As far as a plan of some sort that’ll take a little more planning.” Yet, she knew that Ali was already coming up with some ingenious idea for them to break down the Perfect Nation. All it was going to take was time, and so far they had been pretty patient. You couldn’t rush something like a war, you had to think strategically and make sure that your plans would be executed with little frustration and flaws. They had known that from the very beginning and alone they were dangerous, but if you put Ali and Dreya together they were a deadly pair.
At Ali’s compliment Dreya couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes in fact I do know. I find it quite fun when we put our heads together.” Taking the box of alkaline metals she looked around to see if there was anything else that she and Ali would need. “As far as the frogs go, we could probably use them for test subjects for whatever brilliant ideas we come up with rather than expend more of our own resources. It helped for creating smaller explosives.” Grabbing the boxes, she held them in her arms before walking out of the closet.
The college was going to be the next stop on the list. It was a much large base and the Resistance could set up another base there with the numerous resources located there. It was hard to just let the place go to waste. “Well, we can’t go alone to the college. We’re going to need a large group of people to explore the whole campus of the college. I’m thinking that maybe we could set up a small base there as well. With all the resources available at that college we can’t just leave them there or let them go to waste. We’ll clean out what we can. I must say, I look forward to what we’ll find at the college.”
Carrying the boxes out, she found that her find would come in handy. “Just think this is only one classroom. There are ten other science classrooms in this hallway. We’ll have to come back with a few more people to collect the rest of the supplies in the hallway and what’s also in the metal shop. Every little bit will come in handy.”
